Back To School With Charles River Apparel

Ah, the back to school season. The fresh new school supplies, reunions with your friends, the freezing cold classrooms… Wait cold classrooms?!

For as far back as I can remember, I have always been the girl who is always cold, especially at school! It’s almost as if there is this secret rule at every school that as soon as it gets even a tiny bit warm they have to blast the AC like there is no tomorrow!

Thankfully I now have my Heather Fleece Pullover to keep me warm all semester long!

When I began working on this collaboration with Charles River Apparel, I knew exactly what product I wanted to promote! This pullover is everything I was hoping for and more!

Pros – The key to this pullover being so warm is that it is literally lined with fleece! So many sweatshirts and pullovers I have tried out have a very polyester fluff esque lining that loses its quality pretty quickly. Because of the thickness of the fleece lining the quality of the product is guaranteed to last for a very long time! I also am really into very fitted clothing right now and this pullover does just that! This style also comes in a wide variety of colors! So, if your school has a strict dress code it shouldn’t be too hard to find one that complies with the rules! There is also plenty of space in the chest area for monogramming or for adding your school’s logo!

Cons – The only con I can think of is the snug fit but that is only if you aren’t really into fitted clothing. I honestly can’t think of any other possible cons for this pullover. I’ve honestly enjoyed wearing it so much!

Make sure to follow me on Instagram because I will actually be doing a giveaway for this very product very soon! I would definitely be entering this giveaway if I didn’t already own it!

Thank you Charles River Apparel for collaborating with me on this post!

🎶 It was the 4th of July 🎶

Hey, y’all! I hope everyone had a great 4th!

My family and I seriously had the best time! We just relaxed and then my mom and I took pictures by the lake! The view looked so gorgeous that we just couldn’t resist!

Vineyard Vine’s New Arrivals

I don’t know about you, but I am head over heels for Vineyard Vines new arrivals! I’ve always been obsessed with their Shep shirts but these are to die for! Their new prints are so modern but also still have that classic feel to them! I bought their new leggings in their new print Whale Tail and have been obsessed ever since!

If I had to pick a favorite piece, I would definitely pick the American Flag Shep Shirt! It is so cute and would be perfect for the 4th of July! I am also really into these rompers right now!(1,2) SO CUTE!

Trendy AF

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted but I’m back with an outfit I know you all will love!

I usually post outfits that are very preppy and chic so this time I thought I would share a different part of my style with you all!

Cardigan(sold out but similar)/Purse/Dress(TJ Maxx;similar)/Bralette/Choker/Shoes(sold out but similar)/Sunglasses

I must say at first I was very hesitant to joining in on the choker trend. Now I am obsessed! They really help enhance that cutesy bad ass vibe I love adding to my outfits! This wrap choker from Target’s new collaboration with Baublebar is both cute and edgy at the same time!

Gold bracelet( sold out but similar )/Pink bracelet

I used to really stay away from the more form fitting types of clothing but now I can’t get enough of it! I feel like no matter what size you are body con dresses like these make you look amazing! Along with chokers, they are probably my favorite trend right now!

What’s your favorite trend at the moment? Let me know in the comments below!

The Perfect Spring Outfit

The weather has been so bipolar lately so whenever we get a day that is warm I am so grateful! The ups and downs of this season got me thinking. What is the perfect outfit for a season that is both hot and cold at the same time?

Now, I’m no Carly The College Prepster or Gal Meets Glam, but I think this outfit is pretty darn cute. It’s not super layered like a typical winter outfit of mine, or super lightweight one of my typical summer outfits.

Necklace(sold out but similar)/Dress/Sunglasses

This sleeveless Essie dress from Lilly Pulitzer is the perfect length! It can be worn to anything from a family barbecue to a day at the office. It was a pretty warm day when I took these photos so I didn’t wear any outerwear but one could easily pair it with a jean jacket or cardigan if the weather is a bit more on the chilly side where you live.

Bangle/Bracelet/Sneakers( sold out but similar(1;2)

If there is one thing that is good at taking a simple outfit to the next level it’s statement jewelry. This nail bracelet from The Culley Committee does just that. This nail design is so unique! I can honestly say I have never seen anything quite like it! If you all want to purchase this bracelet or anything else from The Culley Committee make sure to use the code “Culley15” at checkout for 15% off your order!

This post is also a collaboration with the beautiful Peytyn Brynn from Timelessly Trendy! Her blog is amazing and she is so sweet! You all should totally check out her blog for the post she did!

My First YouTuber Meetup

On February 18, my mom and I went to my first ever YouTuber meet up! I have been really into YouTube for years now but I have never actually met a YouTuber I watch until now!

The meet up was for YouTubers, Morgan Yates and Jeanine Amapola was held at the Streets at SouthPoint in Durham, North Carolina. I will say I did get a little freaked out when I saw the long line outside of Kendra Scott but it honestly moved along pretty well.

Bag/Necklace/Top/Vest(sold out but similar)/Jeans(sold out but similar)/Boots(sold out but similar)

The actual experience of meeting Morgan and Jeanine was amazing! I was worried that I wouldn’t get enough time to talk to Morgan and that the conversation wouldn’t feel personal but I can honestly say that is far from the truth! Morgan in particular is one of my favorite YouTubers! I am so glad that I got to tell her how much I enjoy her content! A lot of YouTubers these days are very fake and over the top in their videos. Morgan on the other hand is so down to earth and so chill!

I also her friend Caroline who was their helping take pictures during the meet up! If you watch Morgan’s vlogs like I do you will know she is a literal ray of sunshine!

January Favorites 2017

Ok, I know this is the most cliche blogger thing to say, but I cannot believe January is over! This month literally flew by! A lot happened in January. I turned 22, started classes, and even started applying for jobs again!

In January, I also discovered some amazing products that I am so excited to share with you all!

  1. Setting Spray – I have been loving this setting spray by E.L.F! I have been spraying it all over my face after I finish putting on my makeup. It gives you that barely there feel on your face even if you have on a lot of makeup. The spray also makes sure that your makeup will stay on all day. I have worked for 12 hours straight at the theater. After my long shift, my makeup looks like I just put it on!
  2. Monogrammed Ear Warmers – This monogrammed ear warmer is so cute and so comfy! What I really love about this ear warmer is that it keeps my head and ears warm without covering up my hair! Oh and did I mention it’s monogrammed? And it has glitter on it!
  3. Cute Redbubble Stickers -I have been obsessed with stickers lately! They make anything more fun and personal! I found out about Redbubble through one of my favorite YouTubers, Brooke Miccio. After seeing pictures of her decorated school supplies, I knew I had to get some! They also mark down your stickers if you buy 6 and have great sales all the time!
  4. Lilly Pulitzer Agenda – I know this is probably one of the most basic purchases I have ever made but I love this agenda so much! There is just something about the colorful prints and fun stickers that make every day tasks way more fun to accomplish! I actually got mine for sale at Barnes and Noble for 15 dollars!
  5. Monograms – I have been so into monograms recently! Monogramming is such a fun cute way of personalizing your things! I really like gold monograms because they are super simple and so chic! ShayButterMonograms is my go to for monograms! You guys should definitely check them out!

What I’ve Been Listening To –

For music, most of what I listened to was Kehlani’s new album and Tove Lo. I always loved Kehlani but this album makes me love her even more! It’s so fun and has such a chill cool beat!
